字玉溪道人，1924年5月出生于河南省。1941年入华山出家修道，先后在西安八仙宫、上海白云观等道教宫观修道。1985年起在中国道教协会主持中国道教学院教学工作。1992年当选中国道教协会副会长、中国道教学院副院长、中国道教文化研究所所长等职。现任中国道教协会会长、中国道教学院院长、西安八仙宫监院。主要著作有《道教仪规》、《道教五祖七真传》等。

Taoist Master MIN Zhiting
Called as Taoist Master Yuxi,he was born in Henan Province in May 1924.He was initiated into Taoist monkhood on Mount Hua in 1941,and had cultivated in the Taoist Temple of Eight Immortals in Xi'an,the Taoist Temple of White Clouds in Shanghai,etc.Since 1985 he was in charge of the work of the Taoist College of China, and was elected in 1992 as Vice-President of the Taoist Association of China, Vice-President of the Taoist College of China, as well as Director of Taoist Institute of China. He is now the President of the Taoist Association of China,President of the Taoist College of China,Abbot of the Taoist Temple of Eight Immortals in Xi'an. He is author of mang books,like“The Rituals and Codes of Taoism”,“Biograghies of Five Gods and Seven Immortals of Tanism”,ect.
